Frequent Questions

​What are you business hours?  Monday thru Friday 11 am to 6 pm!

What is your max capacity?  200 Total

200 that includes bridal party and kids. 

 

Does the venue have WIFI?

Yes we do!

 

Do I need a TABC certified bartender?

If you are having alcohol at your event it has to be served by a licensed bartender.

Alcohol – Beer, wine, liquor.  If you have to be 21 to buy it, then it has to be served by licensed bartender. 

 

Do I need security?

Yes, 2 security guards.  Must be a uniformed guard.  Security company, Randall county, or potter county guards only.    Princess package comes with 2 security guards automatically.  Unless specified otherwise.

 

What does clean up mean?

We do the clean up.  However, the contract does state all TRASH be placed in a trash can.  No, you

do not have to take it to the dumpster.  Also, the building and linens are returned in a similar fashion

as you found it.

 

Is the Knotting Hill online décor store free?

Yes, free for all wedding packages.  Except elopement package.

 

Can I come and look at all of the décor in person?

At this time we do not have the capability for that.  We created the online décor to be able to view at any time.  We are always adding to it.

What comes with linens?

We have black table cloths and white tablecloths for weddings to use.  They are both floor length.  All food tables have black tablecloths only.  

 

Is the down payment applied to the total?

Yes

 

Can the ceremony be inside or outside?  BOTH

Inside – we have 2 options ceremony style with just chairs, and get tables out afterwards.  Have tables set out while guest sit at their table and watch.  If you are having just chairs you will have to notify us 48 hours before your event. 

Outside - Custom outdoor bench's and pergola.  No need to move chairs inside and outside. 

 

Does the whole building have HVAC?

Yes we do!

 

How do you have pictures of the lake and canyon? 

If you take a 4 min drive from the venue is Bivins lake on City lake road.  It also has a beautiful canyon.  Just takes a few minutes to sneak off for some stunning photos. Lake does not always have water in it. 

 

What dates do you have available?

Fill out the short form and we will email available dates!

 

When are payments due?

Silver and Diamond packages are $500 down (non-refundable).  $500 every 3 months, and remaining balance is due 30 days before event. 

Princess package - $800 down (non-refundable), $500 is due every 3 months, half is due 6 months, remaining balance is due 30 days before event.  

 

Can I make payments at any time?

Yes, you can make payments at any time.  We record payment same day, or day after, and send out your updated invoice via email.

 

When are your business hours?

Monday thru Friday 11 a.m. till 6 p.m.

 

When are tours?

Just reach out.  Weekends are primarily reserved for weddings sometimes we make exceptions.  All tours must have an appointment. We have some days during lunch, evening, and Sundays if we are not having an event.  Just call or text Nikki 806-678-6707

 

Do I have to use your caterers?

Absolutely not, we do offer a preferred vendor list that we feel offer an amazing quality and experience.  However, you can bring your own vendor.

We offer catering that includes plates, cups, napkins, set up, silverware, and buffet style.  Super easy and all inclusive!

 

Do you offer tables and chairs?

Yes, they are included in any of our packages.  We offer round 60in tables.  You can also visit our inventory section on this website for all tables and details.

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

Venmo, cash app, cash, check.

Credit and debit cards have a 3% charge.

 

What time is the best time to have ceremony?

Saturday is best to have it at 5, 5:30, or 6:00 The earlier you have your ceremony the earlier people will leave your reception.  People generally have about a 6 hour span they are willing to be at your event.  Please note if it is winter daylight savings time it does get completely dark at 6.

 

We are using a rental company.  Can they drop items off or pick them up outside of the rental period? We are a working small ranch. For that reason, all deliveries must happen during the standard rental period. Please advise your vendors of this policy.

Are candles allowed? Yes, candles are allowed as long as the flame is completely contained in a candleholder with water. Tapered candles and any type of hanging candles will not be allowed for safety reasons.

Can I bring my own décor? Absolutely!

​

If I have a weekday wedding Sunday thru Thursday do we get the day before for rehearsal?  No, your rental is a day rental of 12 p.m. till 11 p.m.  Call for information on adding the day before.

Where did you come up with the name Knotting Hill?  Love that question! We are located on top of a hill with the perfect setting to tie the KNOT!

Princess Package Questions

How many guest can I have with princess?  You can have a small wedding or large wedding up to 200 guest. 

​

What’s included in the fresh flowers?  You get a choice of 3 colors for flowers (greenery included).  You can choose from our stock of vases.  Flowers are made for centerpieces for tables and bridal table.  You can also choose to bring your own vases or containers. 

​

Can I choose what flowers that are used?  No, however we do encourage you to send photos for inspiration.

​

What are consultations and when should I do them?

You will get 2 30 min consultations to go over any details you would like.  You can schedule this at any time.  We will be going over details long before the consultations take place.  Generally these are best 60 days before event.  

​

What comes with DJ?  He does the ceremony and the reception.  He is an amazing DJ, and has worked weddings for over 8 years.  He gets booked as soon as you book with us.  All correspondence will be between you both.  He is very accommodating and can answer all of your questions, guiding you along the way.  If you would like to hire him for the rehearsal please reach out.

What items can I take off princess package? Flowers, DJ, Cakes

​

What comes with Event staff?  Your setup will be complete Friday when you come in.  All tables, chairs, tablecloths, flowers will be ready for your wedding. Saturday morning you will have a morning helper to greet you, answer any questions.  3 Event staff will show up an hour before your event.  We will help greet your guest, answer any questions, help with food if need be.   Helping with clean up throughout the evening. 

​

Security – We have 2 security for your event.  They usually arrive at 7 and stay till midnight.  They are amazingly nice!

​

Bartender – TABC certified bartender.  Any and all liquor, beer, wine, has to be served thru the licensed bartender. 

​

What comes with cakes?  You get all three, Bridal cake, grooms cake, and 100 cupcakes.  Bridal cake has SEVERAL OPTIONS.  2 tier cake with a 3rd separate cake.  3 Separate cakes.  We have several different stands to give the illusion of a 3 tier cake.  You can choose to have a 2 tier cake, and your groom have a 2 tier cake.  You will also get 100 cupcakes.  Butter cream icing on them all.  Chocolate or vanilla cake no flavored cakes.  You can choose color of icing.  The cake option is not for someone that wants something very specific or elaborate.  We also have a guide of photos and details that we can send you to look over the different options.  Bridal cake cannot be 3-stacked layered cake.  We have some really amazing cakes we can do, so reach out for all the details.

Can I have fresh flowers on the cake?  Absolutely

Can cupcakes be customized?  No, we can do vanilla or chocolate or both.  Any color butter cream icing.  Yes, you can take cupcakes off if you do not want them. 

​

Princess package is a great option for the bride that wants it all for such a great price.  Most venues cost 6k just for tables and chairs.  We have tried to make an exquisite wedding with an all exclusive package.
